1800-1809*

  • 1802, January: It was resolved at a regularly called congregational meeting, to build a church of stone, since the old building had become dilapidated.
  • 1803, Mar. 21: The demolition of the old church was begun; and new foundations were laid on April 20, 1803.
  • 1803, May 7: Members of the congregation processed, two by two, to the church. Certain ‘fathers of the church’ who had assisted in the erection of the first church led the procession. Among them were George Michael Reiter, Jacob Kerber, Adam Heckman, Adam Schneider, and Carl Wonsitler. Church council members present were: Peter Klein, President, Joh. Jacob Müller, Adam Ewald, Michale Klein, Heinrich Schmidt, Friedrich Heist, George Heilig, Christian Miller, Elders, and Daniel Hoffman, Joh. Nicolaus Miller, Michael Reiter, Solomon Fries, deacons.
